Marcus Bales has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Marcus started their career in 2010 as the President Owner of Desolate Entertainment, where they acted as a keynote speaker at numerous professional speaking engagements and grew the company from 12 to over 50 employees. During their tenure, they received media coverage in outlets such as the Chicago Tribune, WGN, Thrillist, and TimeOut.
In 2015, Marcus joined Schilling Supply Company as an Account Manager, where they successfully managed and expanded a customer portfolio in Southern WI for janitorial and packaging supplies. Marcus consistently surpassed monthly goals by acquiring new clients and increasing business with existing ones.
In 2017, Marcus became the U.S. Fruit & Vegetable Market Manager at Deville Technologies Inc. INDUSTRIAL FOOD CUTTING SOLUTIONS. In this role, they focused on developing the market for large food processing equipment in the U.S.
Most recently, Marcus worked at Access Softek as a Sales Engineer, starting in 2019. Marcus was promoted to Senior Sales Engineer in March 2021. At Access Softek, they presented and demonstrated online and mobile banking solutions to current and prospective clients, while also providing technical support and answering questions. Marcus's exceptional demonstration of the Biometric Authentication Manager earned him the Best In Show award at the CUNA GAC 2020 conference.
Marcus Bales completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Upper Iowa University from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their degree, Marcus obtained several certifications including Learning Secure Payments and PCI from LinkedIn in July 2021, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2019, HubSpot Inbound Sales Certification from HubSpot in April 2018, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Acuity Institute in April 2018.
