ACCESS
Ghinwah Karkaba has extensive experience in educational and community service roles. Currently serving as the Supervisor of the Hope House Clubhouse at ACCESS - Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services since September 2020, Ghinwah previously worked as a Supported Employment Specialist at the same organization from November 2016 to 2020. Additionally, Ghinwah has been involved with the Dearborn PTA Council as the chairperson for the Reflections Art program since September 2011. Prior experience includes working as a Substitute Teacher for Dearborn Public Schools from January 2013 to November 2016. Ghinwah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric and has completed post-graduate coursework in Speech-Language Pathology at Wayne State University.

ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services) has been serving the community for more than 47 years. Founded by a group of dedicated volunteers in 1971 out of a storefront in Dearborn’s impoverished south end, ACCESS was created to assist the Arab immigrant population adapt to life in the United States. Today, ACCESS is the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the United States. With 11 locations and more than 120 programs serving metro Detroit, ACCESS offers a wide range of social, economic, health and educational services to a diverse population.
