'Afsaneh Barzi'

Afsaneh Barzi has worked as a Medical Consultant at Cardiff Oncology since July 2020. Prior to this, they held the role of Medical Director - GI Oncology at AccessHope starting in March 2020. From August 2011 to March 2020, they worked as a Medical Oncologist-Director of Quality Cancer Care at the University of Southern California.

Afsaneh Barzi began their education at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine from 1989 to 1996. 'Afsaneh then pursued further education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) from 2005 to 2009, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Health Policy and Management. Lastly, from 2008 to 2011, they attended the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine for a Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
