Michael Singer

Michael Singer has over 29 years of experience in finance and accounting. In their current role as Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Accion Opportunity Fund, they are responsible for strategic financial planning and analysis. Prior to this, Michael held senior positions at Homepoint and J.D. Power, where they led financial planning and analysis functions and oversaw mergers and acquisitions. Michael also served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Asset Acceptance Capital Corporation, a publicly traded debt purchaser. Earlier in their career, Michael worked at GMAC Commercial Finance and GMAC, now known as Ally Financial Services. Michael began their career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor. Overall, Michael has extensive experience in financial modeling, forecasting, decision support, investor relations, and treasury.

Michael Singer attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Accounting. Michael later pursued further education at the same university, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Finance from 2000 to 2002.
