About the role:

Accompany Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team. As the Senior Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization, which are primarily outsourced and actively being brought in-house. This role offers significant growth opportunities, and the chance to co-create scalable accounting processes for a rapidly growing, venture-backed company.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the day-to-day accounting operations of multiple legal entities, including accounts payable, treasury and general ledger
  • Process A/P invoices accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Enforce expense reimbursement policy
  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely
  • Assist with the monthly financial closes, including creating monthly journal entries and performing account reconciliations
  • Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP
  • Play a key role in the annual audit process with external auditors
  • Help coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns with an independent CPA firm, including preparation of supporting workpapers
  • Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, optimize and automate processes/systems

Desired skills and experience:

  • Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 2-4 years of accounting experience

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP

  • Significant experience preparing complex audit schedules

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously

  • Exceptionally motivated, organized and detail-oriented; team player with a willingness to help where required

  • Preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a top accounting firm

  • CPA

  • NetSuite Experience

  • Healthcare services knowledge or familiarity
