Mark Sacker MBA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mark Sacker currently serves as the Managing Director & Project Director - Tricoya at Accsys, where they are responsible for overseeing the world's first Wood Chip Acetylation Manufacturing Operations.

Mark has also held the position of Non Executive Director and been part of the Humber Engineering Management Committee at CATCH since 2018.

In addition, Mark has been an ADBA Advisory Board Member at The Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) from 2021 to 2022.

Prior to this, Mark was the Managing Director - AD Biogas at Birch Solutions UK Limited, where they successfully doubled the sales turnover and transformed the company from loss to profit-making.

Mark has also worked at Birch Chemicals as the Head of Operations Chemicals and at Singleton Birch Limited as the Group Head of Operations - Chemical Lime, Minerals & Waste. During their tenure at Singleton Birch Limited, they managed various roles, including Operations & Engineering Services Manager, Quarries & Waste Manager, Assistant Quarries & Waste Manager, and Trainee Quarry Manager.

Furthermore, Mark served as a Committee Member at the Mineral Products Association UK and as a Councillor at North Lincolnshire Council. Mark Sacker also held the position of Chairman & Director - Yorkshire Branch at The Institute of Quarrying.

Mark Sacker MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction from Loughborough Business School from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng Hons) First Class degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Leeds from 1998 to 2002. Mark Sacker also holds various certifications, including the Role of the Director and the Board from the Institute of Directors (IoD) obtained in February 2023, Public Speaking from The Elocution Coach Ltd obtained in June 2022, Finance for Non-Finance Directors from The Institute of Directors obtained in September 2021, Mergers & Acquisitions from CIMA obtained in February 2021, and PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice obtained in June 2019.

In addition, Mark Sacker has other qualifications such as the NEBOSH Health & Safety Certificate from the University of Lincoln, the WAMITAB Level 4 COTC (Certificate of Technical Competence) from the Institute of Chartered Waste Managers, and the Explosives Supervisor Qualification in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Leeds. Mark also obtained A Levels (Chemistry, Geography, Biology, and General Studies) from Clitheroe Royal Grammar from 1996 to 1998 and GCSEs (seven A*, three A, and one B) from Longridge High School from 1991 to 1996.
