Brian Pechan began their career in 2001 as an Engineering Associate at Rockwell Automation. Brian then worked as an Instrumentation Technologist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, they joined GE Healthcare, where they held various roles, including Lead Program Integrator for the Drug Delivery Segment and for New Product Introduction. During their time at GE Healthcare, they managed engineering teams and was responsible for product development and sustaining activities.
In 2013, Brian joined Accuray, where they started as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and eventually became the Director of Quality Assurance. Brian led various teams, including the Product Investigation team and the Supplier Quality team. Brian was also promoted to the global head of quality and regulatory compliance audits, where they oversaw a team of 15 auditors responsible for executing internal, supplier, and regulatory agency/third party quality system and product audits across multiple facilities.
Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated their expertise in quality assurance, product development, and team management.
Brian Pechan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2002. Brian then pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the same institution, graduating in 2008. In addition to their formal education, Brian has obtained a range of certifications, including ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence from ASQ - World Headquarters in November 2022 and various LinkedIn certifications such as "Leading with Stability during Times of Change and Disruption" (March 2023), "Leading Your Org on a Journey of Allyship" (December 2022), and "Power BI Essential Training (2020)" (December 2022). Brian also holds certifications in auditing and quality management systems from BSI, including "ISO 13485:2016 Internal Auditor," "ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor," "ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS)," and "ISO 19011:2018 Auditing Module," all obtained in April 2019.
