Christine Hengsbach has extensive work experience, starting their career as a Marketing Assistant Trainee at Severin Elektrogeräte GmbH in 1998. Christine then worked at Fujitsu as a Sales & Business Development Manager from 1999 to 2005. From 2008 to 2010, they served as a Project Manager at Klinikum rechts der Isar der TU München. Following that, they joined Waldemar Link GmbH & Co. KG as the Head of Scientific Marketing from 2010 to 2012. Continuing their career, Christine worked at Ottobock as a Senior Project Manager and Visiting Research Fellow at University ETH Zurich from 2012 to 2015. Christine then transitioned to Barco, where they served as a Key Account Manager and Business Development Manager in Sales DACH from 2015 to 2017. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Novanta Inc. as a Key Account Manager in Sales EMEA at NDS Surgical Imaging. Currently, they are employed as the Business Manager Key Accounts - Sales DACH at Accuray, a position they have held since 2021.

Christine Hengsbach holds a diverse education background. In 2022, they completed an Executive Program in Managing & Strategy for Health Care Delivery at Harvard Business School. From 2012 to 2015, they were a Visiting Research Fellow at ETH Zürich in the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2008, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Medical Technology/ Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. In 1999 to 2003, they pursued a joint degree, earning a Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. from University Paderborn and M.A. from FH Südwestfalen in European Studies in Technology and Business. Additionally, in 2000 to 2001, they studied Business and Economics & Theater Arts in New York (based on ethnic reflections) at St. Olaf College.
