Charlie Mayer

Charlie Mayer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Charlie is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Accurio since April 2022. Previously, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at SunStyle from November 2020 to April 2022. Before that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at Spice House, LLC from November 2017 to October 2020. Charlie also worked at Oracle Utilities as the Director of Strategy from August 2016 to November 2017. Prior to that, they held various roles at Opower, including Vice President of Operations & Investor Relations from April 2016 to July 2016 and Director of Operations from June 2013 to March 2016. Charlie also gained experience at NPR, where they were the Director of Technology from October 2012 to April 2013 and Director of News Operations from December 2007 to September 2012. Charlie started their career at NPR as an unpaid high school intern and eventually became a Senior Producer for All Things Considered from June 2004 to September 2006. Charlie also worked as a Fellow at The Henry Luce Foundation, focusing on rural radio station development and MIAT Mongolian Airlines. Additionally, they served as a Jane Pauley SPJ Intern at NBC in June 1997.

Charlie Mayer completed their education with an MBA in International Business from Georgetown University, which they attended from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in History from Swarthmore College, studying there from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Charlie earned a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration in December 2002.
