Colleen Caporal

Colleen Caporal has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design. Colleen is currently serving as the Director of Experience Design at Accushield® since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Wabtec as a Senior UI UX Product Designer from August 2019 to December 2021. Colleen also served as a Senior Designer-UI Visual Designer at VMware Workspace ONE from March 2014 to July 2019.

Before joining VMware, Colleen worked at InterContinental Hotels Group as a Mobile Web & Native Applications UI Designer from September 2012 to March 2014. In this role, they played a key role in redesigning IHG's mobile platform and improving the mobile booking experience, resulting in increased profits.

Colleen also has a strong freelance background, working as a Digital Artist & Designer from 2002 to 2012. During this time, they demonstrated creativity and versatility in creating designs for print, mobile, and web.

Additionally, Colleen has experience as a Visual Designer-UI/UX at Freerange 360 from July 2011 to February 2012. In this role, they designed graphic assets and interfaces for mobile publishing applications and translated branding guidelines to various mobile platforms.

Prior to their freelance and Freerange 360 roles, they gained valuable experience as a Design Assistant to the Department Chair at Pratt Institute from August 2008 to June 2011. Here, they assisted in administrative tasks, managed databases, and supported various events and projects.

Colleen's early career included roles as a Visual Designer at I Object Solutions from September 2007 to August 2008, where they created catalog designs and managed art and graphic databases. Colleen also worked as a Visual Designer at M Squared Productions in July and August 2007, where they were responsible for creating ads and designing for a yellow page publication.

Colleen Caporal earned a High School Diploma in College Preparatory Plus from Dawson County High School, which they attended from 1998 to 2002. After completing their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with a focus on Photography and Graphic Design at the University of North Georgia. Colleen attended the university from 2003 to 2007. Following their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at Pratt Institute, where they obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Digital Arts and Digital Imaging. Colleen attended Pratt Institute from 2008 to 2011.
