Ji Chen

Ji Chen has a long and varied work experience. In 2022, they took on the role of Head of Engineering at Acelerate and Chief Technology Officer at Telos Brands. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Instacart as Senior Engineering Manager, Marketplace, Engineering Manager, Shopper Staffing & Earnings, and Tech Lead Manager. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Software Engineer at Uber, where they co-founded the Marketplace Forecasting team. From 2003 to 2015, they were an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Emory University, where they led an NIH-funded program to develop the software platform for image-guided CRT cardiac resynchronization therapy, secured funding from Medtronic and the Georgia Research Alliance, and served as an advisory board consultant for GE Healthcare. Ji also conducted research on image fusion and automated image-guided CRT. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Ji Chen received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University from 1994 to 1999. Ji then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain.
