Lily Jin

Lily Jin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lily started their career as a Web Developer at the University of Waterloo in 2002. Lily then worked as a Data Entry Specialist/Programmer at AAI International before moving on to software development roles at TD Securities Inc. and E*Trade Canada in 2004. In 2005, they briefly worked as a Database Administrator at the Ottawa Health Research Institute.

From 2006 to 2015, Lily pursued higher education while working at the University of Toronto. Lily first completed their M.Sc. degree while working as a student, and then went on to become a PhD Student. During their time as a PhD Student, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The Hospital for Sick Children from 2015 to 2016.

In 2016, Lily transitioned into the field of data engineering and data science. Lily joined Darkhad Capital Inc. as a Data Scientist from 2016 to 2018, and then continued with the company as a Data Engineer from 2018 to 2020. Lily is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Acerta since July 2020.

Lily Jin has a strong educational background in molecular biology and computer science. Prior to their Ph.D., they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biology from the same institution, completing it between 2006 and 2009.

Lily also holds three AWS certifications: AWS Certified Developer - Associate Level, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level, and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, which they obtained in November 2016, November 2016, and June 2023, respectively.
