"אח גדול למען חיילים בודדים"
Ach Gadol (Big Brother) is a unique social initiative aimed at bringing together volunteers, who have all completed their military service as lone soldiers and are presently students of higher education or young professionals. 
We developed a national support system to give lone soldiers guidance, assistance and the tools to deal with their daily challenges. All this is given from the perspective of a volunteer with a similar background, who understands the challenges facing lone soldiers.
With an open network like this for lone soldiers, we believe that military service will become a less lonely experience and will facilitate a smoother and more natural integration and transition into Israeli society.

   עמותת "אח גדול" הינה יוזמה חברתית יחודית של מאות סטודנטים מתנדבים, חיילים בודדים משוחררים, אשר מתוך ערכי ציונות, נתינה, משפחתיות וישראליות על כל גווניה, מאמינים כי יש ביכולתם לתת לחיילים הבודדים של היום כתובת אישית ב"גובה העיניים" לצרכים שהם עצמם מכירים כל כך טוב מניסיונם שלהם.
  מתוך תחושת שייכות ואחריות לעתיד החברה הישראלית, החלטנו לעשות מעשה ולהקים מערך קליטה כלל-ארצי המאפשר לצעיר הבודד לקבל תמיכה, הדרכה וכלים להתמודדות עם אתגרים שוטפים. כל זאת ממתנדב  שמבין לליבו של החייל ואת מכלול הנסיבות של מצבו.
  אנחנו מאמינים כי באמצעות מתן מעטפת חברתית-משפחתית תומכת, המחבקת את החייל הבודד אנחנו הופכים את השירות שלו למשמעותי יותר, את ההשתלבות שלו בחברה הישראלית לקלה יותר, וכתוצאה מכך מאפשרים לו להיות אזרח יצרני והישגי עם מודעות חברתית גבוהה.
