Steve Suroviec has extensive experience in the field of disability services and advocacy. Steve is currently serving as the President/CEO of Achieva, a non-profit organization supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. Steve has also held positions such as Chairperson of the PA Employment First Oversight Commission and COO & Director of IDD Division at the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association.

In addition, Steve has worked in various roles within the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, including being a Special Advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary for Developmental Programs. Steve has also served as the Executive Director of The Arc of Pennsylvania, where they focused on advocating for inclusive communities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Furthermore, Steve has been involved in national-level initiatives, being appointed as a Presidential Appointee to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities during the George W. Bush administration.
