Amanda McPherson has a diverse range of work experience in the recruitment field. Amanda started their career in 2003 as a Researcher & Headhunter at Martin Ward Andersen. Amanda then went on to work at Ambition as a Recruitment Consultant and later as a Learning, Development & Training Consultant. In 2014, they joined Greenbridge Recruitment Services as the Associate Director of Recruitment Operations, where they specialized in Recruitment to Recruitment (Rec to Rec) and provided expert consultation on career planning, CV writing, and interview techniques. Amanda then joined Proclinical Staffing in 2022 as a Senior Learning and Development Consultant & Talent Acquisition professional. Currently, they are working as a Workforce Project Lead at Achieve Australia, focusing on improving the quality of service for participants.

Amanda McPherson holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management (Hospitality) from Blackpool and The Fylde College. Amanda also obtained a Cert IV in Training & Assessment specializing in Training & Assessment from TAFE NSW in 2007-2008. In 2013-2014, they studied Teach English as a Second Language at Eurocentres. Amanda has recently pursued a MINI MBA from the Australian Institute of Management and is currently enrolled in a coaching and mentoring program at the same institute. Amanda has also completed a course in Mental Health at Work from the Black Dog Institute. Additionally, Amanda has obtained various certifications such as Disability confident recruiter from the Australian Network on Disability, Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself from LinkedIn, and Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Australia. Amanda has also completed training courses in storytelling, confident speaking, and employee retention. Finally, they are scheduled to complete a train the trainer program in 2022 from the Australian Institute of Management.
