Shamel Duncan

Shamel Duncan has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as a School Principal at Achievement First since September 2012, where responsibilities include driving student achievement through visionary leadership and data analysis. Prior roles within Achievement First encompass Senior Director of Student Experience, Director of Student Experience, Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Student Culture, and Behavior Specialist, focusing on student achievement, character development, and behavioral support systems. Prior to this, Shamel Duncan held positions at Covenant House as a Resident Advisor, Good Shepherd Services as an Advocate Counselor, and Fox Valley Christian Action as a Teens Program Coordinator. Early career experiences include internships at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus, and Morris College Office of Public Relations. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Morris College, obtained in 2011.
