Achievers is looking to hire a Senior Global Payroll and Benefits Associate to join our A-mazing Payroll and Benefits Team! This individual will be responsible for assisting the team with running smooth payroll and benefit schemes globally for Achievers. Reporting to the Global Payroll and Benefits Manager this individual will be a collaborative, team player and help us process compensation programs for our A-players all over the world!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead role for Canadian bi-weekly payroll run preparation and submission. Main back up for all other global payroll runs preparation/submission.
  • Backup for benefits administration globally. Benefit invoices reconciliations for CA (Sunlife, RBC, Dialogue).
  • Administer and maintain compliance for global pension programs:  UK pension, CDN RRSP, US 401K and Australia Superfund.
  • Prepare and submit recurring fillings that are not done by payroll providers (AUS Victoria Tax, AUS SA Tax, AUS Quicksuper, AUS WC true up, US WA WC, UK HMRC Files submission, etc.).
  • Liaise globally with government bodies and 3rd parties as required including new registrations.
  • Keep abreast of any legislative changes pertaining to payroll and benefits globally and coordinate system parameter changes. Support with system changes as required.
  • Year-end activities including reconciliations, submissions, and distribution of employee tax forms globally.
  • Provide JE support for payroll and benefit cost allocations by country and department.
  • Aid with year-end financial audit and any other third parties’ audits.
  • Support with various payroll/benefits analysis and reconciliations as required including census data.
  • Respond to questions and provide information to employees, managers, support staff and departments on all payroll and benefits matters.
  • Lead role in Payroll Manager’s absence to ensure all due tasks are performed on time and accurately.
  • Support with training for new team members as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • PCP certification (mandatory)
  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience for Canada & US
  • Experience in Global payroll (an asset)
  • 2+ years of benefits administration experience in a global setting
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce (mandatory) and/or ADP WFN (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Handles confidential information with discretion
  • Experience in data analysis and auditing procedures (preferred)
  • Aptitude to multi-task and prioritize
  • Demonstrates initiative to solve business problems
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
