Bill Dring has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles in various companies. Bill began their career as an FOCUS & IS Consultant/Project Manager at British Telecom in 1989 before moving on to become a Technical Project Leader at Shell International Chemicals in 1990. From 1992 to 1993, they worked as a Business Analyst/IT Consultant at Accent Language Services S.L. in Sevilla, Spain. Bill then joined Lloyds Bank Ltd as a Senior Analyst/Programmer in 1993, followed by a role as a Business Analyst/Project Manager at British Gas PLC from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, they became a Senior Analyst/Programmer at Chase Manhattan Bank, where they gathered and analyzed business and user requirements for the Global Trust Services section. In 1997, they joined EDS Group (Xerox account), where they served as a Senior Analyst/Project Manager, leading projects, conducting feasibility studies, defining project scopes and budgets, and developing working processes. Bill then worked as a Business Analyst at Thames Valley Police from 2005 to 2015, followed by their current role as a Senior Business Analyst at Achilles Information Limited since 2016.

Bill Dring attended Eastbury Secondary Modern from 1962 to 1968. Bill then went on to study at East Ham College of Technology from 1969 to 1972, focusing on Graphic Design. Later, from 1983 to 1986, Bill Dring pursued a degree in Computing and Visual Studies at Oxford Brookes University, where they obtained a BA Hons (1st Class) degree.
