Dave West

Dave West has a diverse work experience in the field of information architecture and design. Dave started their career with Barclays Bank PLC in 1987, where they progressed from a developer to a Database Solution Architect. Dave was responsible for managing a team of DBAs, data modellers, and overseeing the bank's Enterprise Data Model. In 2011, they joined The Co-operative Bank plc as a Senior Domain Architect, where they played a key role in shaping the bank's IT data and business information architectures. Dave established crucial relationships with stakeholders and implemented strategies to optimize data re-use and performance. After leaving The Co-operative Bank plc in 2014, Dave joined Lloyds Banking Group as a Lead Information Architect. In this role, they led and governed Retail and Digital change programmes and projects to ensure successful delivery and alignment with the information architecture roadmap. Dave also implemented GDPR compliance measures. Dave's next role was at Smart DCC as an Enterprise Information Architect, where they worked from 2017 to 2018. Dave then joined Santander UK in 2018 as an Information Architect before moving to Achilles Information Ltd in 2019. At Achilles, they initially served as a Lead Information Architect, focusing on data architecture, migration, and Neo4J database design. Later, they became the Head of Architecture and Design, responsible for strategic planning and design efforts.
