Eugene Okhrits

Eugene Okhrits has extensive work experience spanning over four decades. Eugene started their career as a Senior Researcher at the Georgian Institute for Scientific and Technical in 1979. After that, they worked as a Senior Developer at TECHINFORMI from 1987 to 1988. Eugene then became a co-owner of TECHINFORMI from 1989 to 1994. In 1995, they joined NGO WAI as a Data Manager, where they worked until 1998. Eugene then became the Science Director at FreeStyle Software Ltd from 1998 to 2001.

In 2002, they joined The Steel Construction Institute as a Principal IT Engineer, eventually assuming the role of Manager Software Development from 2011 to 2015. During their time at The Steel Construction Institute, Eugene served as the Lead Technical Architect from 2017 until the present.

In 2015, Eugene began their position as the Development Lead at Achilles Information Limited, and in 2017, they also became the Lead Technical Architect for the company.

Eugene Okhrits has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and information technology. Eugene obtained their BSc (Honrs) in Computer Science and Information Technology from Georgian Technical University, where they studied from 1974 to 1979. Eugene further pursued their education at the All-Union Institute for Scientific and Technical Information in Moscow, where they earned their Candidate of Science degree in Computerised Information Systems from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, Eugene holds a Candidate of Science degree in Computerised Information Systems from Georgian Technical University.

In terms of certifications, Eugene has completed several courses to enhance their skills and knowledge. Eugene obtained certifications in Cloud NoSQL for SQL Professionals, API Testing and Validation, DevOps Foundations: Chaos Engineering, Microservices: Asynchronous Messaging, and Migrating from REST to GraphQL from LinkedIn in the years 2020 and 2021. Eugene also holds the Neo4j Certified Professional certification, although the specific date of completion is not available.
