Erik Michielsens

Erik Michielsens has extensive work experience in the field of tax and finance. Erik started their career as a tax lawyer at Loyens & Loeff in 1997, where they worked until 2006. Erik then joined Meijburg & Co as a Senior Tax Manager, and eventually assumed the role of Tax Director from July 2013 to April 2019. During their tenure at Meijburg & Co, they also served as the Human Resources Director from September 2016 to May 2018. In 2019, they briefly worked as the Interim Head of Tax at Achmea, and later became the Head of Tax at Achmea in January 2020.

Erik Michielsens obtained a Master's degree in Tax Law/Taxation from Leiden University in 1997. Erik later pursued an Advanced LL.M. in International & European Tax Law from the International Tax Centre Leiden/University of Leiden, which was completed in 2003. In 2018, they also earned a Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from Radboud University.
