Maaike Hoogeboom

Maaike Hoogeboom is a Senior Product Manager and Data Scientist at Achmea since February 2019, with prior experience as a PhD student in Logistics and Operations Research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from November 2014 to January 2019. During the PhD program, Maaike developed a model to help cash-in-transit companies reduce attack risks while minimizing transport costs, involving theoretical research on the vehicle routing problem with multiple time windows. Other notable experiences include a visiting PhD position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018, and roles at TrafficLink B.V. as a Graduate Intern in Dynamic Traffic Management, Rabobank Utrecht as an intern in Group Risk Management, and Stichting Studiebegeleiding Leiden as a Teaching Assistant. Maaike holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Utrecht University.
