Marco Nieboer has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Marco started their career at Smithkline Beecham UK as a Brand Manager and later worked as a Marketing Manager at Robeco Direct. Marco then served as the Marketing Director at Indesit company before joining Shell, where they held multiple positions, including Global Web Development Manager, Manager of Global Digital Management, and Global Customer Experience Manager. Marco later became the Global Head of eCommerce at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS and the Head of Marketing at Royal FloraHolland. Marco also served as a Board Member at the Flower Council of Holland. Currently, they are the Head of Customer Experience at Achmea, where they lead the Customer Experience team and drives customer centricity.
Marco Nieboer has a diverse education background. Marco completed an Executive Education in Leadership Transition Program at INSEAD in 2021-2022. In 2001-2003, they pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Prior to that, they obtained a Masters degree in Business Sciences from Radboud University in 1993-1996. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, studying Business and Social Science in 1994-1995. Furthermore, they have obtained several certifications including SAFe 4 Practitioner Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. and Cert Prep: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from LinkedIn, both in undisclosed years. Marco also completed the "Jeff Dyer on Innovation" course on LinkedIn in 2019.
