Theo de Ruijter

Theo de Ruijter has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Theo first worked at Ernst & Young as a Manager Audit from September 1991 to August 1998. Theo then joined Achmea, where they held several positions, including Adjunct Directeur Group Performance Management from August 1998 to January 2003 and Directeur bij Achmea Group IT from January 2003 to December 2008, where they were responsible for Architecture and Security, Management, Maintenance, and IT programs. Theo later served as Directeur Solvency II from January 2009 to April 2013, Directeur Change Management from January 2012 to February 2015, and ultimately Chief Compliance Officer from March 2015 till present. Additionally, they are currently a member of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Wilde Ganzen since August 2022.

Theo de Ruijter's education history includes earning a drs. degree in Economie from the University of Amsterdam. Theo also completed a postdoctoral degree as a Registeraccountant (RA) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Additionally, they attended INSEAD for a business course in 2002. In 2016 and 2017, Theo obtained a Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) degree from Nederlands Compliance Instituut. Theo also studied Financial Risk Management at Business Learning Frankfurt in 2017 and High Performance Leadership at IMD Lausanne in 2018. Finally, they completed a course on Gedragswetenschappen at Behavior Change Academy in 2023.
