Jim H. Ames

Jim H. Ames, P.E. is a highly experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in the pre-engineered steel building industry. Currently serving as the District Sales Manager for ACI Building Systems, Inc. since June 2013, Jim is responsible for cultivating customer relationships and providing tailored solutions to clients in the north Alabama region. Additionally, as a Consulting Engineer at Hackney Engineering, LLC since October 2012, Jim contributes to engineering projects across multiple states. Prior roles include Senior Design Engineer and Drafting Squad Leader at Schulte Building Systems, Project Manager at American Buildings Company, and Design Engineer and Estimator at A & D Building Systems. Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and has extensive hands-on experience in design, project management, and client relations.
