Samir El Nasharty

Samir El Nasharty has extensive experience in supply chain management. Samir currently serves as the Global Head of Supply Chain at Acino, where they lead global supply chain processes and teams. Samir'sresponsibilities include production planning, material planning, inventory management, and network optimization.

Prior to this role, Samir worked as the Regional Supply Chain Director META at Acino, where they led supply chain integration projects and established performance parameters for local and regional supply chain functions. Samir also focused on process improvement and change management to align stakeholders with the company's strategy.

Before joining Acino, Samir held various roles at Novartis. Samir served as the MEA Cluster SCM Head and APMA Innovative Medicines Supply Chain Head (Ad-interim), leading a high-performing regional supply chain team. Samir was responsible for strategic planning, operational plans, and maintaining compliance. Samir also served as the MENA Cluster SCM Head and held the position of Supply Chain Head, driving S&OP processes, demand planning, and inventory management.

Earlier in their career, Samir worked as a Product Supply Section head at Novartis and as a Material Planner at GSK in the Logistics & Procurement Department.

Samir El Nasharty obtained a B.Sc. in Management Sciences with a focus on the Computer Department from Sadat Academy for Management Sciences during the years 2001-2005. Samir also holds additional certifications, including a CPIM from APICS, obtained in 2012, and an MBA from ESLSCA, obtained in 2011.
