Edgar Galvis is an experienced Family and Couples Therapist currently working at the Ackerman Institute for the Family since September 2019, where also serves as a Teaching Fellow. Prior to this role, Edgar held the position of Assistant Manager of Clinical Services at The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children from June 2015 to December 2020, and worked as a Case Worker at Good Shepherd Services from October 2011 to July 2013. Edgar's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Cornell University, a Master of Social Work with a focus on Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University - Columbia School of Social Work, and a Clinical Externship in Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
