Julien Pestiaux is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in energy and project management. Currently serving as a Board Member at Union Wallonne des Entreprises since September 2021 and as a Partner and Project Manager at CLIMACT since March 2011, Julien is focused on developing a 2050 low-carbon and renewable energy roadmap for the Walloon Region in collaboration with the European Climate Foundation. Additionally, Julien has been a member of the Board of Directors at Ackermans & van Haaren since May 2011, contributing to long-term investments and sustainable business strategies. Previous roles include a position on the 2050 Roadmap team at the European Commission's DG Energy and as a Power Associate at the European Climate Foundation, where work on the 2050 Roadmap report was finalized following a tenure as Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. Julien holds a Master's degree in Engineering Project Management from Cornell University and a Master's in Electromechanical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from Red Cross Nordic United World College.
