Steven Hensley

Steven Hensley currently serves as the Director of the Board of Directors at the ACLU of Northern California, having begun this role in January 2022. Previously, as a Law Clerk at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office from May to December 2023, Steven was instrumental in prosecutorial efforts and contributed to a Supreme Court amicus brief. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Youngsters For Change from August 2020 to September 2022, Steven focused on supporting underrepresented youth, organizing resource distribution events. Other roles include mentoring youth in the juvenile justice system, coordinating peer support for college students in recovery, and leading community educational initiatives addressing recidivism. Steven's educational background includes ongoing studies at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, coupled with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from California State University, Fresno.
