Camilo M. Ortiz

Camilo M. Ortiz currently serves as the Director of Operations at the ACLU since May 2022, after holding the position of Operations Manager. Camilo is also the CEO and Founder of Ortiz Consulting Group since August 2021. Previous experience includes serving as Director of Operations at Baby Vend, LLC from November 2020 to May 2022 and as Program Associate at the Anchorage Community Land Trust from June 2019 to June 2020. Early in the career, Camilo held various roles at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, including Assistant Dean of Admissions, Interim Assistant Dean of Admissions, and Admissions Counselor between January 2014 and May 2017. Additional legal experience includes law clerk positions at the Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Center for Lesbian Rights, as well as a Rule 9 Internship at the Ronald A. Peterson Law Clinic. Camilo’s educational background includes a Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of California, Riverside. Prior to legal roles, Camilo worked as an Associate Brand Manager at LeapFrog from 1999 to 2004.
