Katelan Newman

Katelan Newman currently serves as the Leadership Gifts Coordinator and Research Associate at the ACLU, a position held since September 2025. Prior experience includes various roles at South Bronx United from August 2020 to September 2025, culminating in the position of Development Manager. Responsibilities during this time encompassed marketing and public relations, event planning, and coordination of significant fundraising events. Katelan's earlier experience includes work as a student employee at Middlebury College Box Office, involvement with the Community Judicial Board, and serving as Secretary for the Black Student Union. Additionally, Katelan interned at NationSwell and South Bronx United, focusing on grant research, press relations, and fundraising. Academically, Katelan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Middlebury College and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Policy from the University of Nottingham.
