Sophia Lin Lakin is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in voting rights advocacy. Currently serving as the Director of the Voting Rights Project at the ACLU since February 2015, Sophia has held multiple roles within the organization, including Interim Co-Director and Deputy Director. Prior to this, Sophia gained valuable judicial experience as a Law Clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Additional positions include a Legal Intern at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., and a volunteer staff attorney at the ACLU. Sophia's academic credentials include a JD from Stanford Law School, where additional studies were completed at Yale Law School, complemented by a MS in Management Science & Engineering and a BA in Political Science, both from Stanford University.
