John Barrett

John Barrett has a strong background in manufacturing and operations management. John currently serves as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Acme Manufacturing Company Inc., overseeing multiple facilities across three states. Prior to their current role, they were the Chief Operating Officer of Oribi Composites / ReBuild Manufacturing and the President of Private Equity Manufacturing.

John also brings extensive experience in the energy industry, having served as the General Manager of a manufacturing and service center for large natural gas turbine engines at Mitsubishi Power Americas. During their tenure, they successfully grew revenue and reduced labor costs through process improvements.

Additionally, John has held leadership positions at Wheeled Coach Ambulance, Textron Fastening Systems, and the United States Army Reserve. In these roles, they implemented lean initiatives, increased production efficiency, and demonstrated strong organizational and managerial skills. John is also a Gulf War veteran, having served as an Executive Officer in the U.S. Army. John Barrett received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, which they attended from 1985 to 1990. John then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University, completing it from 1994 to 1999. Later, they obtained another Master of Science (MS) degree, this time in Operations Management (MBA), also from Kettering University, which they attended from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, John Barrett obtained several certifications. John became a Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) from ASQ - World Headquarters in October 1995. In October 2003, they earned the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from the same institution. Lastly, in March 2008, they obtained the Lean Certification from SME and the Shingo Institute / AME.
