Ozer Elbeyli

Ozer Elbeyli has extensive experience in decision science, risk strategy, and credit management. Ozer currently holds the position of VP of Decision Science at Acorn Finance, where they have been since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder and Chief Credit Strategy, Risk, and Compliance Officer at Roost from 2020 to 2022. Ozer also served as the Chief Credit Officer at LendUp from 2019 to 2020 and as the Chief Analytics Officer at Beyond Finance, Inc. from 2018 to 2019. In addition, they worked as a Decision Science, Risk Strategy, and Optimization Consultant at Commonwealth Bank from 2017 to 2018 and as an Advisor for Risk and Analytics at Kuber Inc. from 2016 to 2018. Ozer co-founded Mindful Meal in 2010 and served as the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist, where they developed meal planning algorithms and self-calibrating auto decisioning platforms. Ozer also held various leadership roles at LoanNow, Commonwealth Bank, and Springleaf Financial Services, where they focused on risk management, underwriting, and credit strategies.

Ozer Elbeyli completed their education in Mechanical Engineering. Ozer earned a BS and MS degree from Boğaziçi University from 1992 to 1998. Ozer then pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware from 1999 to 2004.
