John Takousis has a diverse work experience in the field of technical support and web development. John started their career as an intern at Mellon Technologies in 2010 and then worked as a Junior Web Developer at Netstudio, where they focused on PHP and worked on Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress projects. Later, they joined EWORX S.A. as a Drupal Developer, working on government-oriented websites for EU agencies and organizations until 2013. From 2013 onwards, John Takousis worked at Acquia, initially as an Engineer-Technical Support and then as a Principal Technical Support Engineer. In their role at Acquia, they provided technical assistance and support to clients, contributed to internal training, and helped create documentation and support/escalation processes for new services and products. Throughout their career, John displayed expertise in web development and technical support in various positions.

John Takousis earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Ionian University between 2005 and 2010.
