Patty Scharf

Patty Scharf has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to contracts, technical writing, and underwriting. Patty'smost recent position was as the Head of Contracts, North America at Acrisure Re, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Coloplast as a Contracts Manager and Senior Contract Analyst from 2017 to 2023. Patty also served as an Adjunct Professor of Technical Writing at Metropolitan State University from 2009 to 2019. Patty has held roles as Vice President - Contracts at BMS Intermediaries, Inc. from 2012 to 2017 and as a Senior Contract Drafter (Technical Writer) at Aon Benfield from 2006 to 2012. Patty has experience as a Managing Editor at Metropolitan State University and as a Content Writer at Homeplans, part of Move.com, both from 2004 to 2006. Patty'searly career includes various positions at Northland Insurance Companies, including Assistant Underwriter, Technical Assistant, and Corporate Newspaper Writer and Editor from 1992 to 1999.

Patty Scharf received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English/Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from 1988 to 1992. Patty later pursued a Master of Science degree in Technical Communications from Metro State University, which they completed from 2004 to 2006.
