Alberto Avendano

Alberto Avendano has a diverse work experience in the medical field, holding various leadership roles in different companies. Alberto is currently the Head of Medical Affairs at Acrotech Biopharma, INC. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Medical Officer at AAMD Medical Consulting starting in 2017. From 2017 to 2019, Alberto served as the Vice President Global Medical Affairs at United Therapeutics Corporation. Alberto was also the Chief Medical Officer at Osiris Therapeutics from 2016 to 2017.

Before that, Alberto held the position of Senior Medical Director Medical Affairs at Indivior from 2013 to 2016. Alberto worked as the Associate Medical Director HIV at EMD Serono from 2010 to 2013. In 2009, Alberto served as the Director of Clinical Research at Rosell and Rosell Medical.

Earlier in their career, Alberto was the VP Medical Director at Integrated Communications Corporation in 2008 and again from 2000 to 2001. Alberto worked as a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Bristol-Myers Squibb from 2001 to 2008.

Alberto Avendano completed their education from 1981 to 1987 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where they obtained an MD degree specializing in Medicine.
