Miranda Bain

Miranda joined Act for Kids in 2007 in the role of Senior Practitioner and in 2010 became Programme Manager for several Gold Coast programs.

Miranda holds both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Psychology. While residing in the USA, New Zealand, and Australia, Miranda has worked as a clinician, leader, and advocate for over 25 years. From the beginning of her career, Miranda specialized in the area of interpersonal violence and trauma. This focus has led to opportunities to design and apply interventions across varied geographical and societal contexts. Since immigrating to Australia, she has focused on the impact of abuse and trauma on children.

Her current role includes managing the national Integrated Therapy Services and oversight of best practices within Act for Kids therapy services. Actively addressing the impact of pornography and online sexual imagery on the sexual development of children in a particular area of interest.
