Director Of Strategic Initiatives at ACT Power Services

Chris Stevens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Chris started their career as a Banquet Captain at Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in 2004 and later worked as an Operations Specialist in the US Navy from 2010 to 2015. After that, they transitioned to a managerial role at Abercrombie & Fitch - Hollister in 2015.

In 2016, Chris became a High School Science Teacher at the District School Board of Pasco County, where they taught College level Physics in the Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs, focusing on inquiry-based thinking and project-based learning.

Chris then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Appalachian State University from 2017 to 2019, co-managing the Small Wind Testing Facility and assisting in micro hydro workshops.

In 2019, Chris joined Carolina Solar Services as an Operations Specialist and later became an Operations Administrator. In this role, they supported the Senior Vice President in running the Operations department and was responsible for critical analysis of internal processes and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Chris also had a brief stint as an Adjunct Instructor at Appalachian State University in 2021 before joining ACT Power Services. At ACT Power Services, they held various roles, including Operations Engineer, Continuous Improvement Manager, Control Room Manager, Senior Manager of Control Center Operations, and currently serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives.

Throughout their career, Chris has acquired a diverse skill set and expertise in areas such as operations management, engineering, teaching, and strategic planning.

Chris Stevens earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Michigan State University during the time frame of 2004 to 2008. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Technology from Appalachian State University.
