Matt Gibson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and engineering roles. As the Director at Actica Consulting since 2007, Matt has been instrumental in overseeing teams that manage complex client programmes, facilitate business transformation, and deliver specialized security and information assurance services, particularly in Defence and industry sectors. Prior to this, Matt served as the Engineering Team Leader at Ultra Electronics, focusing on Command and Control Data Links for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. Matt's earlier positions include Design Engineer and Technical Manager at Bookham, where the development of micro optic products and optical transmitters for telecommunications was a key focus, and Scientist at Marconi, where innovative research into GaAs products for optoelectronic applications was conducted. Matt holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering and Japanese from the University of Nottingham, obtained in 1999.
