Ali Torkamani

Ali Torkamani is a highly accomplished professional in the fields of genetics and bioinformatics, currently serving as Vice President of Genetics and Bioinformatics at Actio Biosciences, Inc. since March 2022, while also holding the position of Professor at Scripps Research. As a co-founder of Preciseli, Torkamani is pioneering a novel approach to disease prevention tailored for the modern workforce. Additionally, Torkamani has a significant tenure at The Scripps Translational Science Institute as Director of Genomics and Genome Informatics and has held various academic roles at The Scripps Research Institute. Previous entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding Cypher Genomics and VerTerra Technologies, as well as experience as a Life Science Research Associate at Stanford University. Torkamani's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from UC San Diego School of Medicine and a B.S. in Chemistry from Stanford University.
