Amanda Wells

Amanda Wells has a diverse work experience in various roles related to education, therapy, and accessibility. Amanda has worked as an Inclusion and Accessibility Advisor at FreeHorse Arts, where they were responsible for identifying and collaborating with partner organizations for their programs. Prior to that, they served as a Regional Clinical Director, Senior Clinical Director, and Clinical Director at Action Behavior Centers, specializing in ABA therapy for autism. Amanda also worked as the Director of Training and Professional Development at Recognizing Children's Gifts Behavioral Health Network, where they oversaw the development and implementation of training programs. Amanda has extensive experience in inclusive arts education as the Director of Accessibility and Growth at the School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC), where they facilitated a major performance event for students with and without special needs. Amanda has also worked as a Clinical Supervisor at Counseling and Advocacy Associates, where they were involved in hiring, training, and overseeing staff. Amanda has experience in residential services as an Interim Director at The Faison Center, where they supervised staff, conducted assessments, and ensured the well-being of residents. Amanda's work history also includes teaching roles at The Faison Center and The Woodlands College Park High School, where they focused on life skills and geometry education.

Amanda Wells holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University, earned between 2001 and 2004. Amanda also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Political Science and Government from the same institution. In 2008, they enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a Master of Education degree in Special Education - Severe Disabilities in 2011. In the same year, they attended the Florida Institute of Technology and received a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis. In 2009 and 2010, they pursued a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis at Fitchburg State University. Additionally, Amanda Wells has obtained several certifications, such as Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), from various institutions. Amanda holds certifications in Adult and Child CPR/First Aid, Organizational Behavior Management, Safety Care Training, Therapeutic Options of Virginia (TOVA) Practitioner, and more.
