Karen Wylie

Karen Wylie is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in engineering and education. Currently serving as a 3D Engineer and Instructional Designer at Action Engineering since March 2023, Karen focuses on enhancing engineering workflows through the development of Technical Data Packages and participation in standards development. Previously, Karen was the Adolescent Program Director at Great Work Montessori School, where collaboration with community stakeholders led to the implementation of a tailored adolescent program. Karen has held multiple adjunct faculty positions at various colleges, including Red Rocks Community College and Colorado School of Mines, providing project-based learning experiences for engineering students. With a strong foundation in geotechnical engineering as a former staff engineer at Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc., and extensive teaching experience in mathematics and alternative energy technologies, Karen holds a Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
