Kimberly McIntosh

Windrush Policy Lead at Action for Race Equality

Kimberly is Grants and Programme Manager for the Windrush Justice Programme, which is supporting groups working directly with those affected by the Windrush Scandal with onward grants and organisational development.

She has five years’ experience of working in the race equality sector. Before joining ARE, she was Senior Policy and Research Officer at Child Poverty Action Group, where she ran a two-year research project on ‘Ending the Need for Food Banks’. She has also worked at The Runnymede Trust and Race of the Agenda.

Kimberly has written about racial justice for a range of publications including the Guardian, the Washington Post, Vice, the Independent and the Metro, and has discussed this work on BBC Radio 4, BBC News and Sky News. She is a trustee at the Women’s Budget Group and Wasafiri magazine. Kimberly also sits on the Mayor of London’s Equality and Diversity and Inclusion panel. Her first book, black girl, no magic, will be published by the Borough Press at HarperCollins in June 2023.
