Lorna MacKie

Lorna Mackie has work experience spanning over 20 years. Their most recent role is as the Head of Strategy Management at Activ Foundation, which they assumed in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked for the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries as the Acting Executive Director Strategy and Performance Accountability from November 2021 to January 2023. Before that, Lorna held multiple roles at the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, including General Manager Business Engagement and Acting Director Business Innovation. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at AOT Consulting Pty Ltd in various positions, including Lead Consultant and Senior Consultant. Lorna also has experience as a Business Services Manager at Leicon Notley and as a Corporate Services Portfolio Manager at HBOS Australia. Lorna began their career as a Project Accountant at Standard Life Investments and then worked as a Project Analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Royal Bank of Scotland Business, and Clydesdale Bank.

Lorna Mackie received their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In 2010, they attended Curtin University for a brief period to study Australian Tax and Australian Law, but did not obtain a degree in that field. Additionally, Lorna Mackie obtained the title of Fellow from the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) in July 2015.
