Robert Lamprecht

Robert Lamprecht has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert is currently serving as the Research Director at Activant Capital since March 2022. Prior to this, they took a Sabbatical from 2020 to 2022 to spend more time with family and explore their interests in art, literature, film, cooking, geo-politics, and investments.

Previously, Lamprecht held the role of Chief Executive Officer, South Africa at Renaissance Capital from January 2014 to February 2020. Robert also worked as a Managing Director at Bank of America from May 2000 to December 2013.

Before joining Bank of America, Lamprecht held the position of South African Equity Sales Professional at Deutsche Bank / ING Barings / Fleming Martin from November 1995 to April 2000.

In addition, they have experience as an Assistant Portfolio Manager at National Trust Company from October 1994 to October 1995, and as a Portfolio Manager at Commercial Union / UAL Merchant Bank / Old Mutual from September 1987 to September 1994.

Robert Lamprecht obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honors (Cum Laude) from the University of South Africa. Their triple major focused on Business Economics, Economics, and Industrial Psychology. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the UCT Business School.
