Melvin Ng

Melvin Ng has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology. Melvin started their career in 2016 at BT and GIC, where they worked as a Wintel System Administrator and later as a Wintel Ops Lead, gaining expertise in server tasks, disaster recovery, maintenance, and automation. In 2020, they joined GovTech Singapore as an Infrastructure Engineer before moving on to Thakral One and JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the same role. In 2021, Melvin worked at Maybank as a Wintel Workplace Engineer and then at Cycle & Carriage Singapore as a System Engineer. In 2022, they joined the National University of Singapore as a Lead Systems Engineer before transitioning to the role of Information Technology Project Manager at Health Promotion Board and Activate Interactive in 2023.

Melvin Ng's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information Technology from the University of Newcastle, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a diploma in Telecommunications Engineering from Temasek Polytechnic from 2001 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Melvin Ng has obtained various certifications in the field of technology. These certifications include becoming a Nutanix Certified Associate in June 2021, a CyberArk Certified Trustee in August 2020, and completing the "Administering Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Cloud Services Integration" course by Microsoft in November 2019. Before that, they earned the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification in May 2019. Melvin Ng is also an AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, obtaining their certification in June 2017.

Furthermore, Melvin Ng has certifications in cybersecurity, such as Certified Ethical Hacker v7 by EC-Council in June 2013 and the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: SharePoint 2010, Configuration in May 2013. Melvin holds the ITIL Foundation v3 certification, which they obtained in July 2012. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in various other areas, including Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications, and the CertiProf Continuous Learner certification.
