Paul Dauenhauer

Paul Dauenhauer has a long and varied work experience. Paul is currently the Director of the Center for Programmable Energy Catalysis and Co-Founder of Carba, where they focus on Direct Air Capture technology. In 2021, they became Co-Founder of Låkril Technologies. In 2020, they were a MacArthur Fellow at the MacArthur Foundation. From 2014-2016, they were the Lanny & Charlotte Schmidt Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota, and they were also Co-Founder of Sironix Renewables and Chief Technical Advisor of Activated Research Company during this time. From 2012-2013, they were an Associate Editor of Chemical Engineering Science. From 2009-2013, they were an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and they were also the Armstrong Career Development Professor during this time.

Paul Dauenhauer received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2008.
