Lauren Justin, PHR

Lauren Justin, PHR, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Lauren currently holds the position of Chief of Staff at Active Digital since May 2022, where they are responsible for executive support. Lauren also serves as the EVP of Human Capital & Head of People since November 2021, overseeing human resources and talent management within the organization.

Prior to their current role, Lauren worked at Amazon from 2018 to 2021, starting as a Sourcing Recruiter and progressing to roles of increasing responsibility. Notably, they managed a team as a Manager of Program Management, supporting recruitment programs and capacity planning for talent acquisition. Lauren also served as a Senior Program Manager, responsible for bridging the gap between Worldwide Operations' Talent Acquisition team and centralized recruiting engines.

Before joining Amazon, Lauren gained experience in recruitment at Esri from 2015 to 2018. As a Sales Recruiter, they provided end-to-end recruitment services and worked closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs across various divisions.

Lauren's career started at the Child and Family Guidance Center in 2013, where they served as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter. Lauren developed and implemented a recruitment process, optimized efforts through social media and job boards, and conducted preliminary interviews and assessments.

Additionally, Lauren worked at Reed Law Group from 2005 to 2010, initially as a Marketing Associate/Representative Coordinator responsible for recruiting representatives and implementing marketing campaigns. Lauren later transitioned to the role of Editor/Independent Coordinator, where they formatted and proofread practice exams for company law books.

Lauren Justin, PHR, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they pursued General Studies at the University of South Carolina from 2005 to 2006. Lauren has also earned several certifications, including the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from PeopleCert in July 2019, the AIRS Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) Certification from AIRS in April 2016, and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2016.
