Joseph Mann has a diverse range of work experience. In their most recent role as a Research Associate I - Services at Active Motif, they provided various epigenetic services to researchers. This involved preparing and assaying different sample types, such as cells, tissues, and single cells in plants and animals. They performed image analysis of leaf venation networks using a convolutional neural network program called LeafVeinCNN as a Staff Research Associate at the University of California, Berkeley. They also worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at UC Berkeley, where they focused on researching the interactions between arbuscular-mycorrhizal fungi and plants.
